In 1938, Angus Litster moved to Devon from Scotland and established the Hand-Weavers of Bovey Tracey. These looms made extraordinarily beautiful tweed for 82 years until the business closed on Christmas Eve 2019 when Litster’s daughter and son-in-law retired.
We were fortunate to obtain a few remaining lengths of its historic tweed.
This pale blue piece is, we feel, very special and we had just enough fabric to make three. Just one cap remains in a size of 58cms.
